DMV Shia Sports started with pickup runs at the Idara-e-Jaferia and a group chat that wouldn't stop growing. Today, we organize tournaments, youth clinics and other sporting events for hundreds of brothers and sisters across the DMV — run entirely by volunteers from our own centers.
To give every member a place to stay connected with the community, a means to compete, stay healthy, and build brotherhood and sisterhood while serving the Imam of Our Time (AJ).
A nationwide movement where the community can use the DMVSS platform to unite the broader Shia community through sports and foster a healthy and halal environment in which the youth can thrive.

Before you sign up
Do I need a team to register?
No. Register as a free agent and captains draft from that pool before the event. You can also register a full team and keep your roster together.
What if I can't afford the registration fee?
Nobody sits out over cost. Email us confidentially and we'll cover it from the community fund, or you can volunteer two shifts for a free credit.
I'm having an issue signing up. What should I do?
